Back to the Future...
Here we go again. Another year in the Orient. We have been here for 1 day and i spent the whole time cleaning. Still not even close to done. not even unpacked yet.
as soon as we got here after 43 hours of travel, we had to move all 3 of the other teachers into new apartments, in the rain. It was great. we werent tired at all.
cockroaches are abundant. one even crawled all the way down my arm in the moving process. creepy.
I have no desire to eat the food here. i know many "world travels" "go native" and claim to love everything everywhere, but after being in the states and eating such variety, i have no need to eat plain white rice 3x a day... the Chinese are so nationalistic, they claim to be the best at/invented everything, including food. yet they just dont put as much importance on food as we do. they often eat as they walk, as going to their next class, or work. im about to lose alot of weight i have a feeling. my plan to eat Skyline until i hated it did not work this summer. i still want it, desperately, but now have 4 cans to use for the year. oh, when to use them?!
Say some prayers for us as settling back in is hard after a good summer. But school starts tomorrow at 8am (to our dismay) so we are still unpacking and at some point before midnight, planning a class. i got my schedule and books yesterday. u gotta love china.
